Tissue:
•  (+) Breast cancer tissue
•  (+)/(- ) Breast tissue (tissue type may vary with availability)

Microscope slides used are made of super white glass and electrically coated
• High quality glass avoids autofluorescence
• Ensures proper tissue section adhesion to the slide surface and avoids the loss of valuable tissue

All tissues are FFPE human tissues
• The intended use of control slides is to qualitatively assess the performance of the special stain and not for quantitative purposes.

Standard tissue placement: the mid-high on slide
• Save expensive reagent
• Allow the placement of patient and control tissue on the same slide.

All unstained tissue sections were air dried unless otherwise specified
• Allow laboratories to dry the section with or without heat according to their own needs.
• Reduce the exposure of control tissue to the heat drying procedure to preserve and potentially increase tissue reactivity.
